Charles Crosby
Gilmore and Murray's manager. He would do anything for the boys, including Ben, despite his utter dislike of the kid.
He met Ben and Reagan when they performed at a hotel lounge once when they were younger.

Carolyn and Charlotte Gilmore
Carolyn is Reagan's long-suffering wife of six years. They met at their college library and, unfortunately, she became pregnant with Charlotte not long after. It could be said that they only married because of this, but Reagan loves her dearly regardless of his extramarital promiscuity.
Charlotte is Reagan's only child and the light of his life. Because of work he's missed out on a lot of her life, but he does the best he can and is considered an excellent father. He puts her before anyone else.

Faye Meechum
Ben's "special lady friend" who originally only hooked up with Ben at the age of sixteen to get at her mother, who is a constant nag. Faye began to genuinely enjoy her time with the pianist, who is five years her senior, and eventually grew to really like him.
Mickey Slip
Mickey Slip, as he's called to his clients, is the head of a massive mob circuit spanning throughout the country and originating in Los Angeles, California. He's openly gay--a big deal for the time period in which he lives—and intimidating enough to shake the boots of nearly everyone who knows of him.
Shoshana and Noah Mertz
Shoshana is Ben's mother. She had Ben relatively young, and when Reagan came to America with his family, she treated him as if he were her son as well. When Reagan was thirteen he chose to stay in Selcomb with Ben and Shoshana while his own parents moved back to Ireland.
Noah died in an automobile accident three days after Ben was born. He was goofy like Ben, and nothing mattered to him more than his family. Noah and Shoshana were teenage sweethearts.
